On a recent Ulta trip, I found myself perusing the nail polish. "Do I really need another pink?" I asked myself. "Am I sure I don't have something like this already?" I asked myself. It's the constant internal debate I have before I purchase a bottle of polish. I can never remember if I have a shade similar or not. But I couldn't resist this polish. IT CALLED TO ME! *puts bottle into basket*
And now, after answering the call,
Essie's Peach Daiquiri sits next to me after being freshly applied to my nails. I'm obsessed with it. I love Essie in general. But this color just makes me happy. I know soon I'll be wearing much darker colors for the fall but I'm going to enjoy every last moment of my summer. It's not too dark or too light. It's the perfect pink! This color is fantastic and a great addition to my collection. :)
One of the best ways to try out beauty products is samples, and boy do I love samples. There is an entire section dedicated in my bath and beauty stuff for things I'm trying out. But some times you don't know what you're missing until you get a sample of it (
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer I'm look at you). Regardless, it's always nice to be able to try things out before spending your hard earned dollars on items you hate.
For this very reason, I LOVE
Hautelook's beauty bag. I've gotten two of these over the past fews months and have made several new discoveries because of it. If you are someone still on a college budget, maybe you're someone who doesn't like to spend money, or maybe you just love beauty products, this bag is for you! It's $10 ladies. That is two Starbucks coffees, a movie (actually it's cheaper than a movie, which is sad), or whatever you count things in it but it's a great deal!
Hautelook is a great way to get stuff you want for cheaper. I love it! And in this bag, I personally have a few favorites (L
aura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, Napoleon Perdis primer, and A
veda hand relief) . So check it out. You may find your next beauty obsession in this little beauty steal.
xoxo,
Savannah
It's been a crazy month of traveling, workshops and 5ks but nevertheless, I've still had time to pick up new stuff and find even more favorites.
1.
Tree Hut's Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Coconut Lime has become a serious favorite in my life and in my shower. I use this every time I shower on my legs and arms. I have some dry skin bumps on the back on my arms and this stuff has done wonders. The scrub has smaller granules that help to smooth out the rough areas. I pair this with my
100% Pure Nourishing Body Cream in Coconut. It smells heavenly and makes my skin feel fabulous.
2.
Lancome's Liner Design Long Wear Calligraphy Gel Eyeliner has become a go-to in my make-up drawer. I, personally, love gel liners. I know that it's more of personal preference than anything but I use gel on a regular basis. I have this liner in black, brown and emerald. I use the black almost daily. It goes on smooth, doesn't irritate my eyes and stays well all day. I've tried other stick liners and I am obsessed with how accurate I can make my liner with this gel.

3.
Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Shading Brush is something I didn't realize I was missing until I bought it. I'll admit that my brush collection is a little sad. I'm working to build it up a bit more and get all the brushes I need. However, I bought this one based on the recommendation from one of my favorite beauty bloggers and I absolutely love it! It's great for getting your crease or blending shadow into your liner underneath. I use this little guy daily and have had fun changing up my eyes because of the accuracy I can do now. I guess that's a theme this month, eh? Regardless, it's a great brush and it's not a fortune. You can pick it up at
Ulta,
Drugstore.com or other places.
What are some of your August favorites? Leave a comment below and tell me what you've been loving.
