Review: Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask
I've been on a mission lately: obtain beautiful skin. Now I know that may seem super vague and a goal that everyone has but it's been a core focus as of late. I want to take care of my skin now so that 40 years from now it is still just as beautiful. I love make up and eye shadows, which will be the focus of this weekends reviews, but I also want to make sure I'm not just covering issues up. Ambitious, I know?
For the last few years, I've used Proactiv as my skin care routine. Now, for my late teens and earlier twenties, it was a great idea. But the more I use it, the more I couldn't get passed the idea that it was doing horrible things to my skin. For heavens sake, it bleaches all of my t-shirts! Thus, I finally decided that I needed to branch out. I loved Proactiv, even their plus line which I would have switched to potentially if the availability was better, but I needed a change.
Regardless, I've used this mask several times and I really love it. It's a clay base so it helps with any oil issues you may have going on. I know some times masks will leave a residue after they finish, but I didn't feel like that was the case here. My face felt soft and refreshed after using the mask. I still have a few spots on my face that want to be an issue but overall I do think it calmed my skin down. If you are having crazy breakouts, I would suggest maybe another of the masks (potentially the one I picked up tonight). However, if you are just looking to soothe your skin, then I really think this mask is a great purchase. It's inexpensive and you get several uses. Plus if you save all your jars, you can take them back for a free mask later!
P.S. I spent an hour or two tonight exploring Sephora, Lush, Macys, etc. I picked up some great samples, got a mini-facial from Origins and found even more products I'm hoping to try soon. Several of the samples being items on my wish list, so stay tuned for more reviews coming your way. Let me know if you have any products you'd like a detailed review on that I've mentioned lately.
XOXO,
Savannah
